Jennie--Ever the security threat

I thought it was just airport security that considered me a threat--but apparently the news is spreading.

There was package for me in my mailbox....an envelope complete with a security label.

This is what the security label says close up

The funny thing is--if you look closely, it's a University of British Columbia envelope....complete with my name on the return address. I sent the pacakage to myself before I left (it was my computer back up CDs)

I also didn't know whether to trust the package either to open it when I looked at the return address....I mean, I am pretty suspicious....

Given the current rate of identity theft, I would be very hesitant to open the package. You never know; it might be from you, and then again, it might not.

I am also curious to know exactly which postal employee handles all such matters. I would guess there is a very brief life expectancy for the person holding that position (Inspector of Curious, Suspicious or Potentially Life-threatening Packages). But perhaps the benefits more than offset the risks (longer coffee breaks, ...).
