Bridges and Bugs

We started meandering our way back towards Perigueux. We were spending Christmas with Alex's family near Bordeaux, so had a bit of a deadline.

We drove by Millau to see the newly opened bridge--it's the tallest bridge in the world. It's pretty impressive.

But we were happy enough underneath it......and happy not to drive over it.

We drove further towards Sarlat (which was going to be our last stop before Perigueux. Some things we passed along the way.....

Windmills (well, just this one. Liked it anyways though.)

Trees being slowly devoured by ivy (For some reason, I loved these).....

And......Insectorama! Although it may not look like an eye catching sign, it certainly caught ours! And made us put on the brakes, flip the car around, and head in to find it, getting more excited by the minute. We didn't know what it was, but with a name like insectorama, we had to go!

It turned out to be a small insect museum. Hadn't really opened yet though, and we had to wander through it looking for the owner--the door was open but all the lights were off. The owner was trying to figure out how we found out about it, because she wasn't even open for business....I'm not sure if she believed us when we said "Well, we saw the sign on the road, and had to come!".

Definitely a good decision to turn the car around though--we had a lot of fun. Maybe more than others would have in this museum though......

Run away, run away!

Not fast enough!

Finally, we got back to Perigueux, and headed towards Bordeux for Christmas day. After that, it was on to Paris for a few days, before I had to go back to Israel.

A parting shot of the Saint Front Cathedral in Perigueux.

I was going to ask Sara about that bridge in Milau... there were rumours about it on the Internets and thought it might be a hoax. Now I know.

Or do you know? You'll notice where you got this information.....the internet.....all us 'internet people' need to maintain the hoaxes. What else is the internet good for?
Or maybe you meant "now I know....that it is a hoax!" and you blew my cover! Come to think of it, I hope that's what you meant. Otherwise I blew my cover for nothing!
